This page lists links to other projects that we are aware of relating to the Mozilla source, but which are not directly supported by mozilla.org. We include these links for your convenience.

Mozilla Road Map

If you're trying to understand the structure of the Mozilla code, you might want to have a look at Nathan Torkington's Road Map site, which has short descriptions of what each directory in the source is for. (Someday we'd like to have something like this combined with the LXR tool, so that you'll be able to hop back and forth between the source files and the documentation describing them.)

Cryptozilla

An international group located outside the US, calling themselves The Mozilla Crypto Group, have started a project to put cryptography back into Mozilla. Find out more about them at http://www.cryptozilla.org/.

Note, however, that mozilla.org has nothing to do with these folks. They are doing this on their own, without assistance from us. This is because we are prohibited by law from helping them; see the Mozilla Crypto FAQ for more information.

Animation Contest

Some folks ran a contest to design new animations for Mozilla. Check out all the entries! The judges have chosen a winner: entry 116, by Urs Streidl (urs@gigaperls.org) appearing on contest page 29. Congratulations!

This entry will be replacing the animation in the mozilla.org releases of the Mozilla source code some time soon. (But, to be clear, not in Netscape Communicator: Netscape releases will continue to use the Netscape "N" logo.)
