We like to think big. This is just off the top of my head this morning (and with prompting from scc). It is not complete, edited, or even correct in most cases.

Bear with us, things are changing so quickly...but something is about to happen; something wonderful.

Goals

Make interfaces mungable by non-programmers.
To make something like AWT that doesn't suck on all platforms but windows.
Write once. We just don't have that many engineers.
Maintain platform look and feel above all else.
Isolate platform differences, most likely into stylesheets.
Use standards above reinventing the wheel, leveriging raptor where we can
